The digital competence is one of the crosscurricular elements contained in the ESO's curriculum. Technological resources offer a powerful means by which linguistic communication is fostered. They are definitely useful for supporting oral and written production. ICT is an essential tool that allows students to become autonomous during the learning process since it facilitates self-learning, self-evaluation and oral and written interaction in virtual contexts.
Moreover, the legal framework asserts that the teacher is basically a guide and a learning facilitator that has to promote action from the students around the four main language areas: comprehension and production of both oral and written texts. This action can certainly be promoted by digital resources.
